- 8. Security Management Measures for Personal Information

8.1 The Company shall take necessary and appropriate measures to prevent the leakage, loss, or damage of personal information it handles, and otherwise to ensure the secure management of such personal information. 8.2 Where the Company entrusts the handling of personal information in whole or in part to a third party, the Company shall select a contractor that is deemed capable of appropriately handling personal information, and shall stipulate in the relevant outsourcing agreement matters concerning the handling of personal information, including security management measures, confidentiality obligations, and conditions for re-entrustment. The Company shall also ensure that such contractor implements security measures at a level equal to or higher than those of the Company, and shall provide necessary and appropriate supervision.

8.3 The Company shall implement appropriate and reasonable security measures against risks such as unauthorized access from outside, loss, destruction, or falsification, and shall endeavor to protect personal information. Access to databases containing personal information shall be restricted to authorized personnel only, and such information shall be strictly managed to prevent unauthorized use, including within the Company.

9.1 The Company shall respond to requests for disclosure and related requests in accordance with this Section. For the purposes of this Section, “Requests for Disclosure, etc.” means requests for notification of the purpose of use, disclosure of personal information or records of provision to third parties, correction, addition or deletion of personal information, and suspension of use or suspension of provision to third parties.

9.2 In accordance with the procedures set forth in paragraph 9.5, customers may request the Company, within the scope permitted under the APPI, to notify them of the purpose of use, or to disclose personal information or records of provision to third parties.However, the Company may decline to disclose such information if any of the following applies:
- Where disclosure may harm the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the individual concerned or a third party
- Where disclosure may seriously interfere with the proper execution of the Company’s business operations
- Where disclosure would violate applicable laws or regulations
- Where the Company is unable to verify that the request is made by the individual concerned
Please note that a prescribed disclosure fee, as set forth in paragraph 9.5, will be charged for requests for notification of the purpose of use or disclosure of personal information or records of provision to third parties.

9.3 In accordance with the procedures set forth in paragraph 9.5, customers may request the correction, addition, or deletion of their personal information. In such cases, the Company shall conduct an investigation without delay within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use, and based on the results thereof, shall correct, add, or delete the relevant personal information within the scope permitted under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.

9.4 In accordance with the procedures set forth in paragraph 9.5, customers may request the suspension of use of their personal information or the suspension of provision of such information to third parties. In such cases, the Company shall respond appropriately in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.

9.5 When making a Request for Disclosure, etc., please complete our designated (1)request form with the required information, enclose (2)Identity Verification Documents and mail it to the (3)address specified by the Company. In addition, for requests for notification of the purpose of use or disclosure of personal information or records of provision to third parties, a fee of JPY 1,000 per request shall be charged. Please remit the fee to the bank account specified on the request form. Please note that the prescribed fee will also be charged even if the requested information is not disclosed or the purpose of use is not notified.
